The Auburn women's basketball team secured its first conference road win of the season on Monday, defeating LSU 63-53, Auburn's first win in Baton Rouge since 2010.
In a sloppy game where the two teams combined for 54 turnovers and 51 fouls, Auburn's second-half shooting was the difference, as the team shot 60.8 percent in the final 20 minutes.
Cabriana Capers had a career night to lead Auburn, as she scored a career-high 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench.
Three other Auburn players scored in double figures, as Katie Frerking and Tra'Cee Tanner each scored 13, and Brandy Montgomery scored 10.
Auburn moves to 14-8 overall and 4-5 in the SEC, and the Tigers return to Auburn Arena to take on Vanderbilt Thursday night at 6 p.m.
