Update 1:18 a.m.: The National Weather Service has canceled the tornado watch for Lee County.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Lee County until 4 a.m.
Conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms.
The weather service said severe weather will move into east Alabama at approximately 10 p.m. and move out of the area by 4 a.m.
A line of thunderstorms in Mississippi and west Alabama has already produced several tornado warnings.
