Third basketball transfer enters the fold at Auburn

One day after landing DeSean Murray and a week after welcoming Ronnie Johnson to The Plains, Auburn has added another transfer to its roster for the upcoming season.

Shot-blocking big man LaRon Smith from Bethune-Cookman committed to the Tigers Tuesday, bolstering Auburn's roster and adding another defensive presence down low for coach Bruce Pearl.

The 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward will have one year of eligibility remaining. He played his first two years at Georgia State before spending last year with Bethune-Cookman.
