An Opelika man was arrested in Auburn on drug trafficking and fleeing charge on Wednesday.
Police attempted to contact a driver who was speeding on N. College Street. The vehicle attempted to elude officers, but eventually came to a stop on Donahue Drive.
The driver, 29-year-old Raquay Latel Stinson, fled the scene, according to the Auburn Police Division.
Officers located Stinson a short time later and placed him into custody.
Evidence recovered from the scene totaled 6.5 pounds of marijuana and a "quantity of currency."
Stinson was transferred to the Lee County Detention Center and held on a $53,000 bond.
