Police investigate double homicide in Auburn

Daniel Gray, 40-year-old male, and Kimmerly Gray, 38-year-old female, were found deceased in the 700 block of Hunters Court on June 24 at approximately 1:15 p.m. 

The two were found after the Auburn Police Division received a call concerning welfare. From preliminary investigation, APD has found that the individuals knew each other. Lee County Coroner Bill Harris pronounced the couple deceased at 2:45 p.m. and 2:46 p.m. 

According to APD, the case is being investigated as a homicide resulting from a domestic incidence. The domestic incident resulted in the death of Kimmerly, after which Daniel died from a self-inflicted gunshot injury. 

The case is still under investigation.
