A 46-year-old man was arrested from Notasulga on the felony warrants charging him with two violations of the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Act.
William Pilkington was arrested on Aug. 10 by the Auburn Police Division with help from the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Task Force.
Auburn Police began their investigations after a report was filed on Aug. 9 stating a convicted sex offender was living and working in Auburn City limits without registering with local law enforcement. APD said Pilkington was self-employed and worked as a pressure washer, taking jobs in areas restricted to him because of his sex offender status.
Pilkington was transported to Lee County Jail and is being held without bond.
