Auburn police arrested and charged Jubal D. Camp, 18, with first-degree rape on Tuesday, according to a release from the Auburn Police Division.
An 18-year-old woman reported to police that she was forcibly sexually assaulted by Camp, who was an acquaintance, at her residence on Oct. 8.
Police said further investigation led to the discovery of physical evidence that connected Camp to the crime.
Camp is a freshman at Auburn, according to University records.
He was transported to the Lee County Jail after his arrest and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
