The Plainsman's Choice for Best Brunch: Acre

Since its founding in 2013, Acre has won numerous awards for its locally grown meals and is a popular dining place for dinners and lunch, but everyone is aware of how scrumptious its Sunday brunches are.

Brunches are unusual meals in that you can blend breakfast items with lunch foods, and Acre takes advantage of this with a variety of dishes.

A good example of this is the smokehouse steak and eggs.

This delicious meal comes with one of Acre’s signature pecan smoked briskets and is paired with two eggs, fries and chipotle sauce.

Along with its meats, Acre is well known for its Southern-style cuisine, and so it would only be right to have the Southern classics— chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits —available on its brunch menu.

While brunch drinks currently cannot contain alcohol due to state and city laws, the passing of a new bill by Gov. Kay Ivey may soon allow adult beverages to be served at Sunday brunches.

Overall, Acre is a great restaurant that serves award-winning food, and its Sunday brunch has earned the Best Brunch because it is no exception to the Acre legacy.
