Auburn Police arrested and charged a Georgia man with the rape of a female found laying unconscious on Engineering Drive.
The victim was found on May 12, 2018, at about 2 a.m. Alexander Hernandez, 23, was arrested on Oct. 1, 2018.
After the victim was found, she was transported to East Alabama Medical Center because of her level of intoxication.
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences investigated the case and found that Hernandez, an acquaintance of the victim, sexually assaulted the victim.
He was charged with first-degree rape, and turned himself in to the police. He's being held at Lee County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
