Airbnb has activated its Open Homes Program for displaced residents and relief workers deployed to Lee County following the tornado Sunday that left 23 dead and ravaged the parts of Lee County.

The disaster relief program recruits hosts that are willing and able to provide free housing to displaced residents and disaster relief workers in the area for any length of stay from March 4 to March 25. The program is active in Southeast Alabama and Southwest Georgia including Alabama and Georgia cities such as Columbus, Albany, Montgomery, Greenville and Selma.

Thirty-seven hosts have opened their homes for free, according to the website.

The company has been implementing this program since 2012, following the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
