Yesterday the Auburn Police Department arrested a man from Opelika on felony warrants which charged him with robbery in the first degree and attempted murder.
APD arrested Zaquavious Tygvan Gilmore, 24, on Oct. 11, with the help of the U.S. Marshal Gulf Task Force. The task force and APD had been investigating Gilmore after a shooting incident on Aug. 29, 2022.
According to APD, Gilmore had been developed as a suspect after the August shots fired alert that occurred in the 200 block of West Longleaf Drive and lead to one victim of gunshot wounds. After Gilmore was developed as a suspect and warrants were obtained, this incident led to his Oct. 11 arrest.
Gilmore is currently being held in the Lee County Jail on a $175,000 Bond. In addition. he is also facing a failure to appear arrest on a $500 bond.
