UPDATE:

Auburn Police Department has arrested 22-year-old D'Andre Frederick in connection with the assault that occurred in the 700 block of West Magnolia Drive.

APD has identified Frederick as the offender in the incident. Frederick is being charged with assault in the second degree. After APD obtained a felony warrant, he was transported to the Lee Country Jail after his arrest earlier today. Frederick is held on a $25,000 bond.

APD anticipates additional charges to be brought and the investigation is still ongoing.


On the morning of Sept. 10, a video was posted online of two men in an altercation in a parking lot in the 700 block of West Magnolia Ave. 

The video begins with two men in an altercation. One man got the upper hand after several hard blows, and the man on the bottom ceased fighting back, appearing to be unconscious. 

A woman interrupted the fight and was flipped over by the alleged assailant onto her shoulder, rendering her unconscious. 

Both victims were transported to area hospitals, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

In a press release from the Auburn Police Department, they stated, “[t]he investigation is ongoing, and criminal charges are pending.”

APD is asking any witnesses to the incident to come forward with any details they have.
