Two arrested following Beauregard burglary of over $28,000 of goods

A couple from Notasulga have been arrested in association with a burglary totaling more than $28,000 worth of firearms and other associated items in Lee County’s Beauregard residences three months ago, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office. 

A resident in the Beauregard community of Lee County reported a burglary in the 200 block of Lee Road 690 on November 5, 2024. The stolen items consisted of firearms, firearm accessories, ammunition, reloading equipment and reloading components valued at $28,090.

While executing a search warrant on Jan. 17, Macon County Sheriff's Office investigators discovered a stolen firearm from the November burglary in the 1200 block of Hardwich Street in Notasulga. 

Following the recovery of the weapon, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and the Notasulga Police Department executed another search warrant at the same residence on Jan. 23, discovering roughly $25,000 worth of the property from the Beauregard theft. 

42-year-old Thomas Harold Bullington III and his girlfriend, 53-year-old Alicia Christine Johnson, were arrested in connection to the burglary in Lee County, and they were arrested by Macon County Sheriff's Office investigators. Both are from the Notasulga area.

Bullington was arrested on separate charges from the Beauregard theft and is being held in the Macon County Jail. Once he is released from Macon County, the Lee County Sheriff's Office will charge him for the burglary crimes. 

Johnson is being held in the Lee County Jail on charges of Burglary in the 3rd Degree and Theft of Property in the 1st Degree. Her bond was set at $8,000. 

The case is still under investigation, with the Lee County Sheriff's Office execute more charges.
