As Auburn University’s men’s basketball team prepares for its second Final Four appearance in program history, local businesses anticipate the excitement and are already preparing for a busy night in Auburn. As Auburn fans’ game-watching locations are being planned, several special deals will be running for those who want to enjoy food and drinks in truly electric atmospheres with each other.
While it is almost a guarantee that every screen in the city will be showing the Final Four game, which kicks off at 5:09 p.m. CST, restaurants that are adding food and drink deals quickly stand out as the places to be. Momma Goldberg’s plans to offer nachos and a drink, half of a Momma’s Love sandwich and chips or a pitcher of beer for $4.
Further out from campus, Niffer’s Place boasts a lively atmosphere in which every seat will have a view of the basketball game. Saturday evening’s menu will feature, The Pearl, a burger with bacon, pepperjack cheese, sweet and spicy chili sauce and Weagle Water.
For more specials, Half Time, located in Downtown Auburn, will be open to watch the game. They are having $35 High Noon Buckets (5 cans per order) and $15 mimosa pitchers all weekend.
More drinks and food options are available at Tavern on the Traxs. They will be hosting a crawfish boil from 11:00a.m to 10:00p.m, where they will be playing the game and having specials for purchase. The specials include $10 mimosa pitchers, $7 bloody marys, and $5 game day drinks.
For students who are looking to engage with other Tiger fans, Auburn University is hosting a unique experience for students to watch the Final Four game live on campus. Neville Arena is opening its doors and having a watch party, where students can sit in the stands and enjoy the game. The doors open at 4:00p.m., and there will be limited concessions available for purchase during the game.
Other venues will be playing the basketball game, specifically in Downtown Auburn. 1716’s doors open at noon and have drink specials from noon to 2:00p.m with $4 32-ounce wells. Not only will the game be played, but also live music will be performed by DJ Encore. Southeastern Bar will also open at noon with drink specials from noon to 2:00p.m.
While enthusiastic Auburn fans plan their ideal spectating and food locations for Saturday evening, they can shop for custom Final Four merchandise around town. The Alumni Hall, located on South College Street, sells t-shirts, cups, decorations, and more. They have an array of options that represent Auburn in this weekend’s matchup for pre-sale right now on their website.
Final Four merchandise is also available at Auburn’s Official Team Shop website, where their new arrivals are available for purchase. They are having a 20% discount on their website for those who sign up using an email when they check out. This discount includes Final Four apparel and many other designs.
On top of the new Auburn basketball swag, Therapy Boutique’s customers can find new pins featuring Coach Bruce Pearl and various athletes available to add to their school spirit.
Wherever Auburn fans decide to delight in Saturday night’s Final Four game, it is sure to be a suspenseful, busy night downtown as everyone roots for a win over the University of Florida.
