Kappa Alpha Theta cheers on their dance team at Greek Sing on April 15, 2025.

On April 15, 2025, at 7 p.m., Auburn Panhellenic hosted Greek Sing in Neville Arena, a yearly dance competition between Auburn Panhellenic sororities to raise money for Auburn-Opelika Habitat for Humanity. For the second year in a row, Alpha Delta Pi took home the win, this time with their golf-themed performance.

Before the competition, sororities raised money through CrowdChange with the hope of reaching the goal of $150,00 between all sororities and supporters. Sorority members also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to help build homes in the area.

Whether dancing, planning or supporting, thousands of sorority members showed up and showed out for the event in Neville.

Sarah Elizabeth Casey, nutrition and dietetics major and Alpha Chi Omega member, is participating in Greek Sing as a dancer for the first time.

"I am 75 [percent] excited and 25 [percent] nervous," Casey said. "We had our dress rehearsal yesterday, and I had never been down in Neville before. So, we were in the back and I was freaking out. But, obviously we want to do good, I think it's those nerves, and really those excitement nerves."

Madeline Jones, freshman in business and Delta Delta Delta member, is watching Greek Sing with her sorority. She cannot wait to see all of the teams perform and is especially excited to see how the songs tie into each sorority's theme.

"I am looking forward to seeing the hard work pay off for the girls in my sorority and what they have brought to the table. I haven't seen any dance that they have done, so I am excited about that," Jones said.

Before the start of the competition, sorority members yelled their sorority chants while family members, friends and supporters entered Neville Arena. All online tickets were sold out before the event began, but tickets were still sold at the door.

Sarah Webster, mom of a Greek Sing participant, felt both sad and happy for her daughter, as it was her last Greek Sing.

"The girls have worked so hard. It is incredible to see all of the sororities put in the time and energy that they did to put on a really outstanding and entertaining evening," Webster said.

The competition started with a greeting from Hailey Bergenthal, director of Greek Sing and hostess, and Jack Giles, Interfraternity Council president and co-host, where they also introduced the 12 judges for the dances.

After performances by the 18 sororities, Best Buddies performed their “Through the Decades” themed dance. Neville Arena erupted with chants of support. They finished their dance with Swag Surf, where all of the sororities joined, creating a Swag Surf around the entire arena.

Tiger Rhythm followed with their performance while the judges continued to finalize their votes.

After the performances, Bergenthal welcomed two representatives from each sorority onto the stage to give insight into their contribution to the Auburn-Opelika community with Habitat for Humanity.

Bergenthal added that over 120 women from Greek life volunteered. This was followed by a video showing Auburn’s Panhellenic on-site working with Habitat for Humanity.

Following, Mary Caroline McHaney, assistant director of Greek Sing, and Aubie joined Bergenthal and Giles. They announced the winners of Greek Sing and the competition came to a close.

As of 10:25 p.m. on April 15, the 2025 CrowdChange for Greek Sing webpage had raised $93,904.
