In the midst of a seven game losing streak, the Auburn Tigers (13-13, 2-10) will seek to win their first game in a month against the Missouri Tigers (16-11, 4-8) on the road.

2026 has not been kind to Auburn, having won only two matchups during this calendar year. The first win came in an upset victory against the then ranked No. 21 Alabama Crimson Tide, who are now also unranked, and the second against the Florida Gators, who have since bested Auburn in a rematch. The Tigers' loss last Sunday marked their seventh straight loss and their tenth loss in conference, leaving them with the second lowest ranking in the SEC, beating out only the Arkansas Razorbacks, who Auburn will play in their final match of the season.

“We did a good job coming out in the first half, hitting some shots,” Auburn head coach Larry Vickers said. “But after that, we kind of went cold. Teams are going to make us beat them from the 3-point line, and we’re just going to have to get back in the gym and make some shots.”

In their loss to Texas A&M, Auburn's Kaitlyn Duhon scored a career high 23 points, as well as six rebounds and four assists, all leading Auburn. Khady Leye and A'riel Jackson each had ten points, and Ja'Mia Harris put up 11 herself. This makes four tigers that had double digits on the night, but it was not enough to compensate for the Aggies who shot 56.90% from the field and 50% from the free throw line, while also making 100% of their free throws.

The Missouri Tigers have lost two straight, coming against most recently the No. 21 Tennessee Volunteers and the No. 24 Georgia Bulldogs. Both of these matches were not particularly close with them losing to Tennessee 98-53 and Georgia 85-66. Their most recent win came in a close 87-82 match on the road against the aforementioned Razorbacks. Mizzou sits only three seeds above Auburn in the SEC, placed above the Gators and the Aggies as well. Mizzou has beaten the Aggies twice on the season, along with wins over Mississippi State and Arkansas twice.

In their most recent matchup, Auburn came away with a 70-59 victory in Columbia, Missouri, in 2024. A win would mark Auburn's third straight win against Mizzou and the third of their last four trips to Columbia, Mo. It would also snap a 13 game in conference losing streak for the Tigers on the road, as well as bring them up to match their conference win total from last season. Auburn is 8-10 in series history against Mizzou, while going 2-5 in Columbia, Mo.

Auburn will need to keep their fouls to a minimum, as Mizzou has shot 79.3% from the free throw line this season, ranking among the nation's best. They will also have to keep Mizzou's Grace Slaughter at bay, as she leads the team in scoring at 19.1 PPG, also coming in at fifth in the SEC.

The Auburn Tigers will face off against the Missouri Tigers on Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. CST on the road at Mizzou Arena.
