No. 9 Auburn's SEC-leading rushing attack wasn't quite as consistent or explosive as it has become accustomed to in the Tigers' 23-16 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday. The gaping holes usually weren't there, or at least weren't as big as they had been in prior weeks. The Commodores' disciplined defense was up to the challenge for much of the afternoon.

Three years ago, Montravius Adams arrived on Auburn's campus as one of the most highly touted recruits in the country. The young defensive tackle had a strong debut, tallying two tackles and a sack in Auburn's 31-24 win over Washington State. In the 2015 opener against Louisville, Adams recorded 7 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble that Justin Garrett would return for a score.

After winning on a walk-off homer on Friday night and crushing the Bulldogs by 11 on Saturday, the Tigers won a pitcher's duel 2-1 on Sunday to earn their fourth consecutive SEC sweep and 13th consecutive SEC victory.

After smashing the ball to right field, Kasey Cooper kept her eyes on Georgia outfielder Sydni Emanuel. As Emanuel leapt for the ball while backed up against the wall, Cooper knew she was either going to be the hero of the night or the victim of a potential SportsCenter Top 10 play. Fortunately for her and No. 2 Auburn, it was the former.

The Tigers (42-5, 12-3 SEC) split a doubleheader against No. 7 Florida State (35-5, 13-1 ACC), winning game one 9-6 to extend its school-record winning streak to 17 games and losing game two 4-3 to see that winning streak come to an end.

Auburn senior Jade Rhodes' dominant week for her dominant team didn't go unnoticed by the SEC. Rhodes was named the SEC Softball Player of the Week on Monday after her performance helped the Tigers go 4-0, including the most lopsided sweep in program history against Arkansas, and increase their win streak to a school-record 16 games.

One day after breaking the school record for margin of victory in an SEC game in a 21-0 win over Arkansas, Auburn somehow found a way to top that performance. The No. 2 Tigers crushed the Razorbacks, 23-0 in five innings, on Saturday, setting a new school record for largest SEC win. Auburn (40-4, 11-3 SEC) has won 15 consecutive games, tying a school record.

Just one day after Auburn softball made history by earning its highest ranking of all time, pitcher Lexi Davis made some history of her own. The senior led the No. 2 Tigers (34-4, 9-3 SEC) to an 8-1 victory over Troy on Wednesday night to earn the 61st win of her career, the most in Auburn history. Davis improved to 5-0 this season.
