Auburn became the last SEC school to offer alcohol at sports events this previous spring. During spring basketball games, students started to notice concession stand fridges were stocked with seltzers and beer. At the start of this football season, Auburn incorporated alcohol sales into the student section of Jordan Hare as well.

Today, Oct. 14 is Indigenous Peoples' Day, which falls on the second Monday of October. The holiday is to celebrate and promote Native American history and culture. In 2021, Pres. Joe Biden proclaimed Indigenous Peoples' Day through formal recognition.

Auburn’s Anna Davis took home her second individual tournament win of her young career on Tuesday in the Illini Women’s Invitational at the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois. Overall, the Tigers took third place in the tournament.

Auburn University students and community members staged a memorial for Palestinians and others killed during the Israel-Hamas war Monday evening at Toomer’s Corner. The demonstration comes a day after a small protest which ended in a violent altercation and one year after the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack in Israel, which left over 1,000 people dead and hundreds kidnapped by the terrorist organization.

Auburn dropped its eighth straight game to the Bulldogs as Georgia snagged its first SEC victory of the year and 27th straight home win at Sanford Stadium on Saturday afternoon. All season Auburn had been hurt by a collection of turnovers but, it was not the story against the Bulldogs. Instead the inability to capitalize and match Georgia’s offense caused them to fall to 2-4 on the season.
