With Sal Cannella, Will Hastings, Jay Jay Wilson, Zach Farrar, Jashawn Sheffield and Marquis McClain gone, and Matthew Hill at defensive back, Auburn fans will see some new faces lined up at wide receiver this year.
In 2016 it was Rhett Lashlee, 2017 it was Chip Lindsey, 2018 Gus Malzahn took over play-calling duties again after Kenny Dillingham was hired, now, it’s Malzahn’s friend and former Arkansas coach, Chad Morris calling the plays.
Auburn has a new addition to its roster, this time with 4-star wide receiver Malcolm Johnson Jr. hopping onboard.
The award watch list nominations keep rolling in for Auburn. Last week, the Tigers had D.J. Williams, K.J. Britt, Bo Nix and Seth Williams all on preseason award watch lists.

After an up-and-down season that saw heartbreak and joy for Auburn fans, it’s time to look back at the top moments of the Auburn season. It was impossible to narrow it down to just 10, so there are five honorable mentions.
Going into the Outback Bowl, Auburn players and its coaching staff were looking to capture the10th win of the season and carry momentum into 2020. Senior, and likely top-10 draft pick, Derrick Brown opted to return for the game and was joined by fellow senior Marlon Davidson on the defensive line. It seemed to be shaping up as one last ride for the dominant Auburn defense, but instead it ended in disappointment. In the end, Minnesota was able to dominate in the trenches, beating Auburn 31-24 and piling up 494 yards of total offense.

College football’s early signing period began today, which is now, ultimately, the new National Signing Day for the nation’s top high school and junior college prospects to announce their next destination. Before the new rules, the spectacle was in February but now head coaches and their staffs can get a head start on the majority of their incoming class before bowl season even begins.

In front of a capacity crowd of 87,451, in a game that allows for a year of celebrating across the state, with one team playing for its senior class and the other looking to return to the playoff, the Auburn fans would all agree that Auburn’s offense saved the best for last.
In a game where most sportsbooks had the over-under set at 50.5, both Auburn and Alabama nearly covered the spread themselves. It was a game with big play after big play that eventually went Auburn’s way with a missed field goal from Alabama and then an illegal substitution to ice the game for Auburn, 48-45. Alabama was able to put up 150 more yards than Auburn along with returning a kick for a touchdown but Auburn saw Zakoby McClain and Smoke Monday both return interceptions for touchdowns.
