Dear Kris; I enjoyed reading your recent well written plainsman article about the most often used term “the Auburn Family”. While I agree whole you hardly that the bricks and mortar that make up Auburn University are not a true family, many of the people that make up the University can be.
Vaccinations have become a hot topic after the measles outbreak linked to a California Disneyland theme park. This outbreak should remind Auburn citizens they should be getting vaccinated and should vaccinate their children. Anyone who doesn't vaccinate puts the lives of others at risk.
This year on the Auburn SGA's ballot, the Auburn students will have one option for president, vice president and treasurer. The candidates are running unopposed and will probably step directly into office on March 1st.
Date parties, Greek week, Panny points, DJ options for Spring Formal - I remember when these things used to mean a lot to me. They don't anymore, but I'm not ashamed.
I stood in the corner of the hospital room, fighting back tears. I had always been proud of having a great-grandmother, and I didn’t want to lose her.
I'm writing to you to say hello from the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island. I am a seventh grade student at Goff Junior High School in Pawtucket, RI.
The National Football League has dealt with numerous off-the-field problems this season, but believe it or not, the problem getting the most attention is definitely not a new one. The only reason why this problem of domestic violence is getting more attention than ever is because of a video.
Auburn's football team has found great success in the last seven weeks. Few can complain about a 5-0 start, so I won't. The program's recent success can be attributed to a fantastic coaching staff, among other things, but primarily it's the leadership and vision of head coach Gus Malzahn.

They say the best revenge is found in massive success. I believe it was Frank Sinatra who came up with that one. I don't know if Gus Malzahn is a fan of Sinatra or not, but the two certainly can relate on one thing: their achievements have been their own personal form of revenge.
Finding a decent place to live shouldn't be part of what makes college difficult. Paying tuition, maintaining a good GPA, avoiding alcohol poisoning -- these should be high on your list of college-related concerns. Worrying whether or not you'll have to spend part of the semester in a hotel should be low on that list.
It seems like the phrase "teach the controversy" has become a popular response nowadays for those who disagree with popular scientific theories. If I'm allowed to have an opinion on topics in sports, politics and religion, why can't I do the same in science?
It's one thing to compliment a woman, and it's another to yell vulgar and sexually offensive phrases at a woman across the street who is waiting for the pedestrian light.
Believe it or not, we're already in the month of March, which not only means spring break is next week, but also means the most wonderful time of the year is quickly approaching: NCAA Basketball March Madness.
Twenty five beautiful women living in the same house and competing for the same guy seems to be an ideal way to find love, right? ABC's "The Bachelor" has been a guilty pleasure of mine for years.
Awareness is everything. It keeps us on track, ensures we know when our exams are, gets us to class on time and prevents us from getting hit by cars when we cross the street. Most everyone would say that they are aware of their surroundings, but global awareness is a concept many take for granted.
On Feb. 9, 1964, The Beatles exploded into American homes with a two-and-a-half-minute performance of "I Want to Hold Your Hand" on The Ed Sullivan Show. That night changed the way we would listen to music forever.
Let's not kid ourselves. Pace of play in college football is a real problem. Well it's a real problem in the eyes of Nick Saban and Bret Bielema. But that, in turn, is the real problem with the problem -- two highly paid head coaches are trying to change the rules in order to send a message to the up-tempo offenses that gives them headaches.
Living in a college town, it's common to hear stories about your fellow students not remembering exactly how they got home last night. Sometimes those nights involve drunk driving.
