Alabama Secretary of State to host voter registration drives across the state

Secretary of State John H. Merrill's office will host voter registration events in four counties across the state, including Lee County. 

The event will be at the Smiths Station City Hall at 10 a.m. on Nov. 4.

Other events will be at the Peanut Butter Festival in Pike County, Opp Fest in Covington County, Magic City Fest in Jefferson County and the Roy Downs Public Library in Shelby County.

To register to vote, citizens must present a valid photo identification such as a drivers license, passport, voter identification card, government-issued employee identification, student identification card from a public or private college or university, military or tribal identification.
