Avery Young to declare for NFL Draft

Avery Young, a three-year starter on Auburn's offensive line, will declare for the NFL Draft, according to a report from Rand Getlin of the NFL Network.

"After four incredible years at Auburn University, I plan to submit my name for entry into the 2016 NFL Draft," Young told Getlin. "I want to thank the Auburn family, including my coaches, school administrators and our amazing fans for supporting me during my time on the Plains. We made multiple bowl appearances together, earned an SEC championship, and even had an opportunity to play in a national championship game. I'll miss everything about my college experience, but I'm excited to take this next step in my career and to proudly represent my university in the NFL."

The 6-foot-6, 305-pound Young started 37 games in his Auburn career, including 12 of the Tigers' 13 games in 2015.

He is the second Auburn offensive lineman to declare for the NFL Draft, following left tackle Shon Coleman.

Young is rated as 14th-best offensive tackle and 150th-best player overall in the 2016 draft class, according to CBS Sports' prospect rankings. He is projected to be selected in the fourth or fifth round.
