Auburn tight end Landon Rice has left the football program.
The true freshman went through spring and fall camps and was expected to get some playing time behind Chandler Cox at the H-Back position, but he didn't play in the Tigers 19-13 loss to No. 2 Clemson.
Rice played high school football at Calhoun (Georgia) High School, becoming a four-star recruit and committing to Auburn in 2013. He received some interest from Georgia during the 2015 season, but remained committed to the Tigers and joined the team in January after playing in the Under Armour All-American Game.
