Benefitting Auburn's War on Hunger, WEGL is hosting its first charity music event, WEGL Fest.
"We help a lot with sound and do demos and always want to come out for other organizations, but this time, it's something we set up," Chandler Moore, the station manager said. "It's our own event."
The Committee of 19 is cosponsoring the event. Moore said Invisible Children and the African Studies program support the event.
The bands vary in genre and come from all over the southeast.
"These are bands that had before when we threw out the idea, expressed interest, especially for charity," Moore said.
WEGL offers three spirit points for WEGL Fest. Students and guests pay $3.
Therapy, Magnolia Sons, Three Happenin' Guys, Weak Music for Thomas, The Bandar-Log, Red Mouth and Tony Brook are all scheduled to play.
The event is Saturday, April 25 from 3 p.m. - 10 p.m. in the Student Center.
