Auburn Volleyball team unable to hold LSU

The Auburn Volleyball team (9-5, 1-2 SEC) lost to the Louisiana State Tigers (8-4, 2-1 SEC) in its first home game in three weeks.

The Auburn Tiger defense was not able to hold the LSU offense, losing 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 26-24).

Freshman Sarah Bullock led the Auburn offense with 16 kills, 18.0 points and a .484 attack percentage. Following Bullock, was junior Morgan Johns who tallied 11 kills, 11 points and a .562 attack percentage.

"We're leading but faltering at the end," said head coach Wade Benson. "It's really frustrating to play well, but not be able to close, and so that is something we will work on in practice."

Auburn will return to the Student Activities Center as they prepare to take on the Ole Miss Rebels Friday Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.
