A woman was struck while crossing Donahue Drive toward Plainsman Park Friday afternoon.

Emily Carter, 59, was struck by Spencer Maddox, 24, at approximately 5:06 p.m. while Maddox was turning south out of the C-Zone parking lot onto Donahue Drive.

Carter was transported by ambulance to East Alabama Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, said Captain Tom Stofer of the Auburn Police Department.

Carter was discharged the same afternoon she was admitted, said Carolyn Curtin spokeswoman for EAMC.
