Auburn football hosted its annual NFL Pro Day Tuesday afternoon at the Auburn Athletics Facility. Fourteen former Tigers worked out for NFL scouts. Former defensive end Antonio Coleman said he's excited about the draft on April 22-24. "I'm excited to see what team picks me up," Coleman said. Coleman said he is aware he cannot control which team will draft him. "All I can do is work out for these guys when they want me to work out and show them that I'm one of the best defensive ends out there," Coleman said. The 6-foot-1, 248-pound Coleman participated in the 40-yard dash, the vertical leap and the long jump.
Former cornerback Walter McFadden said he thought he had a good workout. "A lot of scouts came up to me saying a lot of great things," McFadden said. McFadden, measured at 5-foot-11, 181 pounds, worked out in all four categories. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.40 and 4.39, recorded a 33.5 inch vertical leap, a long jump of 9 feet 8 inches twice and five repetitions of 225 pounds on bench press.
Former quarterback Chris Todd said pro day was a different experience. "It is a different experience because you have a lot of people watching you," Todd said. "It was a good experience and fun getting in front of a lot of NFL guys and showing them what you've got." Todd said he understands his football future is uncertain.
"The big point was getting to this day and coming out and having a decent day," Todd said. "We got there and we'll find out pretty soon what the future holds."
