Women's golf finishes strong in Puerto Rico Classic

The No. 29 ranked women's golf team finished in 11th place at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic after posting a final round 16-over on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The team finished with a 52-over 916 for the tournament.

Played at the River Course at Rio Mar Beach Resort and hosted by Purdue, the 54-hole tournament ended with a tough day for the Tigers. Senior Carly Ladloczky shot a 2-over 72 on the final day of competition, good enough for ninth individually at the tournament. She also led Auburn with a 4-over during the three days of play.

The University of Alabama finished in first place scoring a 7-over 871 and the individual competition was led by Arkansas' Emily Tubert shooting a 3-under 213 in tournament play. The Tigers finished in 11th out of 15 teams.

Auburn's next tournament will be in New Orleans at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Invite hosted by Tulsa.
