Incumbent Gerald Dial wins primary state senate election

Alabama State Senator, incumbent Gerald Dial narrowly won the primary election against challenger Tim Sprayberry Tuesday night.
After the polls closed Tuesday, the race for District 13 State Senate was a close one. Sprayberry lead the polls over the course of the evening,
"We went from up to down, it was quite the rollercoaster," Dial said.
Dial came out on top after a final vote count out of Lee County.
"We are proud of our voters in Lee County and we appreciate their support,' Dial said.
Senator Dial plans to relax for the next few days. He even lost 12 pounds during the election.
"We are going to take a few days off, take down signs and rest before the [general] elections in November," Dial said.
