Auburn police said they have arrested a man and charged him with burglary at a residence on West Longleaf Drive.
Daniel Mcafee, 22, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft on Jan. 15 after an investigation of a burglary reported on Jan. 14.
Police said the burglary victim reported someone had broken into their residence in the 200 block of West Longleaf Drive stole multiple items between Dec. 13, 2014 and Jan. 13.
Police said Mcafee is currently homeless.
Mcafee was taken to the Lee County Jail and has been held on a $6,000 bond.
The 200 block of West Longleaf Drive is the same block where Auburn football player Jakell Mitchell was shot and killed on Dec. 14, 2014.
