South Carolina volleyball (15-12, 5-8 SEC) has now lost nine of its last 11 matches after Auburn (12-15, 4-10 SEC) won on the road in five sets.
To go along with this road conference victory, Alexa Filley became the first Auburn setter since 2006 with 1,000 assists in a season.
The Tigers lost the opening set to the Gamecocks but bounced back to win the next two, 25-20 and 25-21.
Auburn continued leading South Carolina by holding the lead for the majority of the fourth set but could not capitalize off the match point at 24-22 when the Gamecocks rallied by scoring four straight points to steal the set and force a tiebreaker.
After the score was tied 4-4 in the fifth set, Auburn gained a lead and never looked back as they won the deciding set, 15-9.
Auburn's next match is also on the road when they play Alabama in Tuscaloosa Friday, Nov. 21 on SEC Network +.
