They’re not dead yet.

Auburn defeated LSU 73-70 in the quarterfinal of the SEC Tournament Friday afternoon and the Tigers are now set to play undefeated and No. 1 Kentucky in the semifinal.

It was none other than the SEC’s leading scorer who carried the weight.

KT Harrell hit a 3-pointer with less than a second remaining to send the game to overtime after the Tigers never held a lead in regulation.

The Tigers jumped out to a six-point lead in overtime and held on as several last-minute 3-pointers from LSU’s Keith Hornsby went wide.

Harrell’s 29 points were a game high as the senior guard refused to let his Auburn career end.

Junior forward Jordon Granger was ejected in the second half after punching LSU’s Jordan Mickey. He will not play in Saturday’s semifinal against Kentucky.

Malcolm Canada scored 14 points in the victory while Cinmeon Bowers contributed seven points and 10 rebounds.

The Tigers will play Kentucky tomorrow afternoon in the semifinal of the SEC Tournament.har
