Pearl and the Tigers will face Oklahoma State in Big 12/SEC Challenge

Auburn men's basketball will host Oklahoma State on Jan. 30, 2016, at Auburn Arena as part of the 2016 Big 12/SEC Challenge, according to a press release issued by ESPN.

Auburn will participate in the challenge for the third straight season.

Auburn has previously traveled to Iowa State (2013-14) and Texas Tech (2014-15). This is the first time the challenge will be in Auburn.

This will be the fourth meeting for Auburn and Oklahoma State, with Auburn leading 2-1 in the series.

The teams first met in 1977 in Huntsville, and then in 1999 in Indianapolis in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. Lastly, they faced each other in 2006 at South Padre Island, Texas, as part of the South Padre Invitational.

Coach Bruce Pearl is 2-1 all-time in SEC challenges, defeating Marquette in 2008 and No. 3 Pittsburgh in 2010 in the SEC/Big East Challenge while at Tennessee, and last season Auburn fell to Texas Tech, 46-44.

Pearl trails 1-2 in wins against Oklahoma State, facing them in 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2008-09 while coach at Tennessee.
