Students travel from all across the United States to attend Auburn University. However, many might not know how to spend their time here.
There are different activities to keep students busy, they just have to know about them.
Jamie Moore, junior in communications and French, shops at Behind the Glass for top name brands at an affordable price.
“I just love the variety of clothing,” Moore said. “I feel like I’m a bargain queen. So yeah, this is my favorite spot.”
Therapy, another boutique in downtown Auburn, also offers variety.
Karli Buckner, junior in nursing, works at Therapy.
“We have prices that are low, that are high, depending on what you’re looking for,” Buckner said. “We have a little bit of everything.”
AMF Auburn Lanes on Opelika Road provides another activity to occupy free time.
Moore said she goes with her friends for college night on Wednesdays when students get discounts.
“I’ve been bowling since I was a little girl,” Moore said. “I love going out there and showing off my skills.”
From 9 p.m. until midnight, students can enjoy bowling for $7 with their University I.D. Rental shoes are included.
Carmike Cinemas opened a new movie theater May 1, 2014, in Tiger Town located in Opelika.
Katy Blackburn, resident and native of Auburn , said she enjoys going to Tiger Town to see movies at the new theater, Tiger 13.
“It’s great, it’s absolutely wonderful,” Blackburn said. “The seats are great.”
Whether it’s shopping, bowling or watching movies, Auburn and Opelika have a variety of activities.
