Collision at the intersection of South College Street and Donahue Drive clear, police investigating cause

Police reported to the scene of a two-car collision at the intersection of South College Street and Donahue Drive 7:15 a.m. Monday, July 13, according to Auburn Police Division Captain Lorenza Dorsey. 

An 18-year-old female of Opelika was driving a 2008 white Nissan Rogue and a 34-year-old male of Auburn was driving a 2008 white Nissan Altima carrying a 22-year-old female passenger.  

"The Nissan Rogue was traveling northbound on College Street and was turning left onto Donahue Drive, and the Altima was traveling southbound and they collided," Dorsey said. 

The two passengers in the Altima complained of neck, shoulder and back injury and were taken to East Alabama Medical Center by ambulance. 

The condition of the patients is unknown. 

The driver of the Rogue was uninjured.

Police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
