As expected, Auburn dropped in the week three edition of the Amway Coaches Poll after barely escaping with a 27-20 win over FCS foe Jacksonville State.
Auburn fell the most of any team, tumbling eight spots down to No. 15.
The Tigers came in one spot below LSU. Auburn will travel to Baton Rouge this weekend to face off against the "other" Tigers at 2:30 p.m.
Five other SEC teams were ranked, all of whom are on Auburn's schedule. Alabama checked in at No. 2, Georgia at No. 8, Ole Miss at No. 11, LSU at No. 14 and Texas A&M at No. 18.
