In Equitation on the Flat, senior Elizabeth Benson and junior Tory Hoft both earned victories to remain perfect for the season in the event. Benson defeated Anna Rea, 74-65, and Hoft defeated Audrey Gallagher, 93-74, to earn MOP honors.

Despite the road loss, Auburn coach Greg Williams still has confidence in the team moving forward.

“It is a tough loss,” Williams said. “There are some times where you just do what you aren’t supposed to do. It wasn’t that we really made mistakes, we just didn’t have as big of rides as we usually do. We have to be adjust to every ride that we get on. We didn’t adjust to the horses well today. I know we are still really good, it just didn’t work out for us today.”
