Athletics to survey donors regarding renovations to Jordan-Hare Stadium

Auburn has released a survey to approximately 5,000 Tigers Unlimited donors to gauge interest in renovations to the north end of Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The project would include additional concession areas, restrooms, elevators and escalators, as well as new locker rooms and a videoboard which, in renderings released by the University, appears to be comparable to the one installed in the south end zone before the 2015 season.

"Before we move forward and ask for approval on such a major project, it's vitally important for us to reach out to the Auburn Family," athletic director Jay Jacobs told AuburnTigers.com. "This survey is critical because it will help us determine the level of interest and support for a potential renovation to Jordan-Hare Stadium.”

The renovation would begin after the 2016 season and would be complete for the 2018 season, according to AL.com.

Initial plans to renovate the stadium fell through this summer because Jacobs was not satisfied with the designs put forward. The project was initially expected to cost about $145 million.
