A spirit that is not afraid

Fall Concert Series at Kiesel Park begins Sept. 21

The Electric Rangers truly brought their electric and upbeat energy to Kiesel Park Thursday night, as they performed for the Fall Sundown Concert Series. The group is a country bluegrass band, but they love their classics and their commitment to honkytonk music, which depicts their unique past and contemporary blend.

The band first performed together in Hawaii in 1980, and since then they have toured Alaska, Costa Rica, Korea, Mexico and Brazil, to name a few of their destinations. As the lead singer, Uncle Roy stated during their performance at Kiesel Park, "they are a country band that likes to go to various countries." The group likes to accommodate for all of their spectators; playing originals from their new CD, performing the classics, and bringing their younger audience to the dance floor with "The Wheels on the Bus."

To hear more from this band, every third Sunday of the month at Uncle Roy's Art Gallery and Music Lanai there is a free live show. It is laid-back and for the whole family.

Enjoy the last September performance on September 28 featuring Soul Therapy. Auburn Parks and Recreation will have Soul Co perform on October 12 and Alabama Avenue on October 19. Concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. The concert series is free to the public and there are food vendors and inflatables for children. The Electric Rangers have started the series off great and there will be more fun as the series continues.
