The Auburn Wheelchair Basketball has been recognized by the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, or NWBA, as the Team of the Month for October.
Auburn finished the month with a record of 3-1 and won the Championship of the 2nd Annual Halloween Hoops Bash held on campus at the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum the weekend of October 28 & 29.
The Auburn University is one of ten colleges across the country that has a wheelchair basketball team. The season runs from October to mid-March.The team plays two home tournaments a season, one each semester. All games are free of charge and are played in the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The next chance to see the Auburn Wheelchair Basketball Team at home is January 26 & 27 when they play host to University of Alabama and University of Missouri.
