Auburn police charged Orlando M. Sims, 19, of Tuskegee with two counts of first-degree sodomy on Monday, according to a release from the Auburn Police Division today.
Sims allegedly sexually assaulted a family acquaintance who is under 12 years old, on more than one occasion.
Police have been investigating since Oct. 20, when they received a report of a sodomy that occurred in Auburn.
Sims was taken into custody in Tuskegee with help from the U.S. Marshals and turned over to the Auburn Police Division. He was transported to the Lee County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
