Gus Malzahn's starting quarterback recently had an operation on his left, non-throwing arm, Auburn Athletics confirmed Thursday afternoon.

"Jarrett had a minor procedure on his left shoulder. Coach Malzahn expects him to participate in spring practice."
Sara Paclzewski of Eagle Eye TV was the first to report the news. Paclzewski captured a photo of Stidham Thursday morning, in which the quarterback's left arm rested in a sling.
Auburn Athletics did not elaborate on the severity of the injury. Stidham, who started in all 14 games for Auburn in 2017, never appeared to have suffered an injury during the season.
Malzahn "expects him to participate in spring practice," which opens Feb. 27.
