Auburn has added some last-second depth under center.

Four-star quarterback Cord Sandberg committed to Auburn on Monday after a whirlwind of a recruiting process. The former four-star Mississippi State signee visited The Plains last week in addition to LSU and North Carolina State.

"Absolutely humbled to have been given the opportunity to pursue a childhood dream of mine," Sandberg wrote on Twitter. "After some visits and a lot of prayer I’m excited to announce I’m officially an Auburn Tiger! Fired up and ready to get to work! #WarEagle."

Sandberg spent the last six years in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system after originally committing to Mississippi State's 2013 class. The 23-year-old from Bradenton, Florida, has four years of eligibility remaining as a Tiger. He is technically an addition to Auburn's 2018 class and plans to arrive on campus next week.

Sandberg gives Auburn four scholarship QBs on the roster with starter Jarrett Stidham, backup Malik Willis and four-star true freshman Joey Gatewood.
