Make it back-to-back days with a 2019 commit for Gus Malzahn.
About 24 hours after three-star defensive end Colby Wooden committed to the Tigers out of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Malzahn landed another from the Peach State in four-star athlete Zion Puckett from Griffin, Georgia.
"When looking for a college, I hoped to find the same family feel I get in Griffin," Puckett said in his commitment video. "I did at Auburn University."
Puckett projects as a cornerback for Auburn, and one of the highest on Malzahn's 2019 board at that. The Spalding High School product's verbal commitment spurned suitors Tennessee and Alabama.
