An Opelika High School student was arrested Tuesday for bringing a gun to school.
Police responded to the school at about 1:15 p.m. when officers received information from Opelika High School officials that a student had brought a weapon in the school.
Police found the 15-year-old suspect with a pistol in his possession. The student was arrested without incident and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
There were no disruptions in school operations.
Opelika City Schools administration has been notified and are assisting with the investigation.
