An Auburn woman was arrested Tuesday on felony charges in connection to vehicle break-ins and theft.
23-year-old Shealy K. Copeland was charged with unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and third degree theft of property.
The charges are from an auto burglary incident that happened on Oct. 27, at an apartment complex located in the 100 block of South Debardeleben Street.
According to a statement from police, Copeland stole a watch, cash and a credit card with a total value of over $800. She used the credit card to make purchases at a local business, according to police.
Property taken in the burglary was recovered.
Copeland was taken to the Lee County Jail and is being held on a $4,500 bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
