An Opelika man faces multiple charges after Auburn police said he illegally entered a business on the 1000 block of Opelika Road and broke into several vehicles in the parking lot of the business.

Police said video evidence and an investigation led them to 30-year-old William Blake Norton, whom they arrested on Jan. 10 and charged with third-degree burglary, two counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and two counts of fourth-degree theft of property.

Police said electronics were taken from the cars on Jan. 2, and the building was broken into three days later.

Auburn police served Norton's arrest warrants on Jan. 10 at the Lee County Jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges.

An additional $11,000 bond was set, and the case remained under investigation.
