A motorcycle accident Saturday night has killed one Auburn man, Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said in a statement.
Dalton Edwards, 27, was operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed on Summertree Drive when the motorcycle left the road and struck a tree. Edwards was the sole occupant of the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet, Harris said.
Auburn Police, Auburn Fire and EMS responded to the accident. Edwards suffered multiple blunt force injuries and was killed instantly, the coroner reported.
The Lee County Coroner’s Office and the Auburn Police are still investigating the accident.
