A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Lee County, and severe weather is possible until 9 p.m. Monday evening.
The Birmingham National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning ahead of a storm with a history of severe wind and hail.
The warning was issued until 7:30 p.m.
The severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9 p.m.
The severe weather Monday comes just three weeks after a strong tornado hit the Beauregard community in Lee County on March 3, killing 23 people.
