The Auburn Police Division is investigating an incident that occurred on the edge of campus this morning, according to a campus safety notice from Campus Safety and Security.
The victim reported that at about 8:45 a.m. a gray Chevrolet Impala cut him while a passenger held a pistol straight up out of the window in a confrontational manner.
The incident occurred on South College Street near Samford Avenue.
After the incident, the suspect vehicle drove north on South College Street and was not seen again.
APD is investigating the incident as an aggravated assault.
The email from Campus Safety and Security advised people to avoid conflict with other drivers at all cost and to call 911 if conflict arises.
